A batik mural is made on the walls of the neighborhood roads in RW 10, Kebon Baru Urban Village, South Jakarta in an effort to beautify the region and enhance aesthetics.

Area Under JORR Toll Beautified With Mural Paintings

Its action gets support from the Bantaran-Ciliwung River Community (Bacili), which provided assistance in the form of 12 wall paint packages and 7 brush sets.

"To become a distinctive feature, we and locals agreed to make a mural with a touch of batik," he stated.

In the meantime, Bacili Community Chairperson, Buchari expressed that locals have a dream to realize this area as a village that can also produce batik as a driver of the economy of residents.

"We're very supportive and ready to conduct an assessment. Hopefully the Kebon Baru area can become a center of batik in Jakarta," he hoped.
